There are a few different options for setting up your customised survey - you can do this at any time by clicking on the Cog wheel in the top-right, and selecting settings.
If you're on our Professional plan or higher, you can actually set up different survey templates based on segments or custom data fields (more on that here).
By default this will have your business name in there, but we recommend having the name of a real person there. It's often a good idea to make this your CEO; people tend to feel really good getting an email from the top-dog at the company.
This is a totally underrated part of the email - it's one of the first things people see when they receive your survey, and often the subject line will determine how likely they are to open the message.
We have found the best subject lines include the person's name, and keeping it really simple.
It's best to keep this really simple again. Having too much text in the body of the email can turn people off, and we find sticking to the standard NPS question tends to get much better response rates.
Button Colour and Logo
These should be automatically populated for you when you set up your account, but you can come back and change them at any time. If you're using separate email templates (for different groups or brands), you can actually change the Logo and Colours for each template.
Feel free to add in whatever text you like, or even keep this blank (simplicity is key!). Some people have added in their website link; just be aware that due to email filtering, adding links like that can land your survey straight in the spam folder!
These are restricted, so making the labels too long can mean they end up on 2 different lines. It's great to show some personality though, and customers really respond when your company is a bit different from the norm. Maybe by swapping these to a "No way" and a "Hell yeah!" you might find you get a few more responses coming through.
