So people are telling you they love your business. That's great! But how do you get all that positive feedback in front of potential customers so that they can love your business too?

We've got you covered. Just use our Get More Reviews Workflow to give them a nudge to leave a positive review on any external review site (e.g.  Google Reviews, Capterra, G2 Crowd, TrustRadius, TrustPilot, Yelp, etc).

Note: For Google Reviews, you need to create a link for customers to click to review the 'correct business'. Use this guide to generate a 1 click link that will open up the review for that business. Also: Google Reviews only work for businesses on Google Maps - if they don't exist on Google Maps, the 1 click links won't work.

Setting Up the Workflow

From the Workflows screen, choose Get More Reviews.

By default, this Workflow will be configured to run for promoters only, and only once per person.

You can add rules to narrow down the targets for the Workflow by clicking +And, if you want to narrow this to a specific location, for example.

Like your other Workflows, you'll want to customize your message to make it reflect your company's style and voice. You can also use call fields—the stuff with the { }—to bring in dynamic data.

The most important part of this message is what's driving the recipient to the site; the link! Check the screenshot above to see how that formatting should look.

Here's a breakdown of how to format it:

<a href=” “>   - then </a>

<a href="website address here”>insert words you want hyperlinked here</a>

Important Note: Please use a link shortener prior to putting it into the Workflow. Crazy long links can sometimes break the hyperlink functionality.

Click Save and you're good to go! Be sure to send this Workflow to yourself to ensure that you've coded it correctly and test the hyperlink properly before it goes out to all of your customers.

For Multiple Sites

What if you have multiple sites you want to drive reviews to? AskNicely gives you the ability to randomize which review link your customers are sent, allowing you to spread the love. You don’t have to create three different Workflows (unless you want a specific subset of your customers to be directed to a specific review site). We have email variants that will allow you to create up to 3 templates that will be selected at random within the Workflow.

Next to the body of your Workflow, click +Add Template.

You’ll notice that you now have a second template, “Template 2”. You can change the wording and the link in this template to direct your promoters to your second review site. Remember, your templates will be selected randomly to make sure they distribute the love evenly.
